Building and Scaling Caident’s Software Platform
Caident is an early-stage startup building AI-powered software for the fire sprinkler industry. I originally joined to design and develop the company’s website and licensing system, but my role has since grown to include building its web application, backend services, and contributing to its desktop applications.
Today, I’m involved in developing features across these products, managing the infrastructure behind them, improving performance, and working closely with the founders to help shape how everything comes together.

From Concept to Connected Platform
What started as a website and licensing system has grown into a connected platform spanning web and desktop applications. I’ve helped build and expand the systems behind these products, from user accounts and product access to backend services, infrastructure, and the tools customers use every day.

Designed and built Caident’s website and online store using WordPress and WooCommerce, including custom integrations for purchases, subscriptions, and account management.

Built Caident’s web app from the ground up using Next.js and Django, including backend APIs, team management, product access, and customer-facing tools like the Submittal Generator.

Helped build Caident Design from the ground up, developing CAD tools, user interfaces, and rendering systems. Also contributed to new features and refactoring in CaidentCalc.
